World Explorers Club

Here's What Our Australia Unit Covers!
🐨 In this study, explorers will discover Australia through daily units and activities, including:
- 🗺️ Mapping Adventures: Label maps of Australia and Oceania, identify landforms, and map the Great Barrier Reef.
- 🎨 Crafts: Create a mixed media Sydney Opera House, felt eucalyptus leaves, stained glass window art, Uluru desert diorama, a didgeridoo, a boomerang, and coffee filter coral.
- 🎲 Games: Play Continent Trek, Continent Hop, and Relic Race.
- ✏️ Writing Activities: Journal prompts, fact sheets on Uluru, and writing a gratitude letter to a veteran.
- 🐨 Art Activities: Koala drawing tutorial and dot art inspired by Aboriginal culture.
- 🧬 STEM Adventures: Build a model of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, conduct a bushfire terrain experiment, and make coffee filter coral.
- 🍽️ Culinary Creations: Make Anzac biscuits, fairy bread, burgers with the lot, Aussie meat pies, pavlova, and lemon & barley water.
- 🌍 Final Projects: Create a lapbook or travel brochure about Australia.
