      Learn about the three main muscle types—skeletal, smooth, and cardiac—and their roles in the body.

    • Day 2: Muscle Anatomy: How Muscles Work
      Explore how muscle fibers, tendons, and bones work together to create movement.

    • Day 3: Major Muscle Groups
      Identify key muscle groups like the core, arms, and legs and their functions.

    • Day 4: Facial Muscles and Facial Expressions
      Discover how facial muscles allow us to express emotions and communicate.

    • Day 4: Group STEM - Muscles to the Max Lab

    • Day 6: Muscles & Energy
      Learn how muscles get energy through nutrition and ATP, and the difference between aerobic and anaerobic energy use.

    • Day 7: Growing Muscles: Hypertrophy
      Explore how muscles grow stronger and bigger through exercise and repair.

    • Day 8: Muscle Fatigue & Recovery
      Investigate why muscles get tired and how they recover through rest and active recovery.

    • Day 9: Muscle Injuries
      Understand common muscle injuries and how the body repairs them.

    • Day 10: Group ART - Foil pose sculptures

    • Day 11: Heart Muscle
      Dive into the heart muscle and learn how it pumps blood tirelessly to keep us alive.

    • Day 12: Muscles in Humans Compared to Animals
      Compare human muscles to animal muscles and their unique adaptations for movement.

    • Day 13: The Role of Muscles in Posture and Balance
      Learn how muscles help maintain balance and posture for stability and health.

    • Day 14: Gameschooling Day - Play our original games which are included in your printable pack!

    • Day 15: Poetry Teatime Day - Read poems related to the theme, such as excerpts from Walt Whitman’s “The Body Electric” and enjoy our original, protein packed recipes! (Because muscles!)

    • Days 16-20 are always final projects which are creative and fun - and allow your new muscle experts to share their knowledge!
